Who Are We?

The Gordon Setter was originally bred in Scotland for upland bird hunting. The breed is known for its good temperament and intelligent manner. They can also be quite sensitive to their owners’ feelings.

Gordons have a distinctive look with their long, flowing black and tan coat. They can be a good loving family pet and enjoy the outdoors. A Gordon Setter is happiest when given room to run and a good old couch to share.  For some photos of Gordon Setters, please visit our photo page.

We are the Badgerland Gordon Setter Club. We were originally formed in 1978 to promote the breed in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We provide a variety of educational and fun activities for the Gordon fancier through our affiliation with the Gordon Setter Club of America, Inc. (parent club) and surrounding regional clubs. So whether you enjoy showing, obedience training, hunting, or just have an interest in Gordon Setters, please join us.
